    As an overall evaluation: it is a good, and sensitive microphone.

    Excellent results with Canon camera - but a bad experience: somehow it is not working with my Nikon D90 - in spite of the fact, that the description of this item mentioned this model, too! One more remarks: it were nice, if the item would have been containing a "piggyback" further screw (on its top) for attaching other optional devices, e.g. a GPS module - since presently, when one attaches the microphon module, not any other product can be used simultaneously with it. E.g. the GPS modul would be important at any time... Moreover: one more bad fact: installing properly the microphon atop of the Nikon D90, the built-in flash can not be opened fully, and thus: no flashing can be used until the microphon is used!

    Great, if you know how to use it.

    On a dedicated recorder it works perfectly. But on a camera, Never use it on auto. Set your camera's gain low (if it can go very low) and set the mic to 10db then it works perfectly. If you can't use manual gain on your camera, don't buy this.

    Very professional sound in a price to laugh

    Very good professional sound. Much brighter than the RODE mics in a good way. I usually drop some treble in editing to make the sound warmer but it's not harsh treble just good brightness and clarity. I much prefer having a lot of healthy treble to start with than trying to recover the high-frequency sounds from a dull recording..
