The battery was partly charged and it has been functioning as expected. The one I received is white on top, but I think it was also made in silver. Glad to have this low frills Roomba for the refurbished price, but I can't imagine paying for the new iRobots! No complaints with this one so far, and glad to have the 2 year warranty just in case.

I simply charged it on the included charging base for one hour, then, ran it for 90-minutes over a completely carpeted second floor with loft, second master bedroom suite and bath. Best thing about it, is has two roller brushes: a bristle and beater, and one sweeper brush for edges and corners. Strongest dirt and dust pickup. I now have two of these Roombas - one for downstairs and one for upstairs - plus one iRobot Braava Jet M6 wet mop. I only buy iRobot!
