We are in a northern climate so salt gets tracked in on the heavy duty mats by the doors and this vacuum picks up the salt crystals from the grooved mats which are made of a much tougher fiber than regular carpet. Very Happy. This vacuum is being used in a church with long carpet hallways and carpet in classrooms so much more area to vacuum that a home.
