A little filling required.
Received the mag and tried to install it in my gun and it wouldn't lock in. I performed a quick check and seen the plastic finger pad, front section insert tab was hitting the Gun butt before sliding into lock. I took a jewelers file and filed down the base pad insert tab of the mag down about 1/16 of an inch and the forward corners about 1/32 of an inch. The mag locked right in, with and without ammo. Went to the range the next day with 2 sig mag's and this mag. I fired over 200 rounds using all 3 magazines and different ammo with no issues. For the price of this magazine and the quality you can't beat it. Besides the 2 minutes of work to make it fit, I will purchase another one and feel comfortable using it with my conceal carry weapon. Genuine Sig magazines are expensive, and these were quite a bit less and they are working perfectly. However, you can tell the difference in quality between these and the genuine Sig mags. The Metalform mags have a slight deformation of the base plates which you can feel when you hold the gun, since the base plate holds your pinkie. Maybe smaller hands wouldn't feel the difference, but I sure do. So, do I recommend? Well, if the difference in price is important to you and you don't mind the difference in quality, then yes... MAGAZINE HAMPERS USE BY LARGE HAND PERSON
The design of the magazine doesn't allow for 3 finger on grip and extends too far for one finger under. Thus it is too difficult to shoot the weapon accurately if you are use to the standard magazine. For me, I am selling it. For others they may want it for 1 extra round. I am sure I will be able to change out magazines fast enough that the extra round is not a big benefit to me. It the hooked end also makes it difficult to place in small holsters and draw without fumbling. At least for me. I wouldn't recommend the product, but it is of good quality and the right price. Differs from Sig magazines
I've put nearly 100 rounds downrange with these and had no problems with ammunition feeding or with dropping the magazines. Actually, in dropping the magazines they tend to stick because the gun is so small that your hand will create enough friction to not let it fully drop properly. It differs at the base from the Sig magazines. The extension is pointier and extends noticeably further out than the Sig OEM magazines. It also feels a little different than the OEM magazines but I like both. Highly recommend these. Excellent Quality Mag at a Very Reasonable Price!
This is a very good mag for the P238! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and would have no reservations about purchasing more of these P238 mags from this company rather than the exorbitantly high priced Sig mags. And during my 50 round test firing it functioned flawlessly There is one caveat. And this is not meant to be a negative, I am just pointing something out that others may be interested in knowing prior to purchasing. The reason I purchased this mag was not for the extra round, but for the hope of having a "Pinky" rest when gripping. It does not work for that purpose. At least not if you have medium or larger hands. Frankly, for me, there is no use in even having that plastic piece at the bottom of the mag. The point of the curve on the front barely makes it 1/3 of the ... This is a very good mag for the P238!
