But yet at 16" 's,it could give a little more lift for a farther reach. The way in which it folds and opens is also a plus for easy storage and usage. I weigh 170 lbs and it held me up fine while it took me 1 hour to clean the top of my refrigerator and the high storage cabinets. It's a sturdy piece for its' reasonable price.
