    The best, affordable Matte Box

    I bought this Matte box after reviewing maybe 6 others in this price range and higher. I am extremely happy with the quality of this Matte box and all it's features. It fits my Ursa Mini Pro perfectly and is a welcome addition to my other accessories. It is a rock solid build plus it's nice and light. The swing away arm works well and locks in to both positions easily, plus it allows you to swing it past 90 degrees which could be handy in some situations. The height adjustment is minimal compared to other Matte boxes but it fit my rig perfectly and I would imagine it would be the same with most other rigs. I can't fault this piece of kit at all. I'm really pleased with it.

    Excellent quality, needs minor refinements

    This is a good matte box at a rather modest price: light, sturdy, made with precision. It does everything it promises. It would be great to have a lower french flag and also an interface cloth made for a larger diameter zoom lenses.

    Not too bad

    Cc. All in all it’s a decent Matte Box for the money. It checks most boxes for things you’d want to see. It’s fairly lightweight. Quality seems on par for the price. Everything you really want meta is metal. Filter trays are nice to have. I’m pretty sure it’s not actually carbon fiber. If it is, it has a very odd feel to it. I wish more of it was metal but in comparison to other similarly priced units it’s better than most.

    Not so much "Matte" but very sparkly :-)

    Without doubt the very best Matte box for the price that you pay. It looks incredible and is extremely well built although I will point out that the Carbon fibre is for effect and the Matte box is NOT constructed from Carbon at all, it is in fact a base metal. Regardless of that fact though this Matte box comes with everything you would need and I am happy to couple it up to my Panasonic HC-X1 4K video camera and use it for my wildlife shoots. My suggestion for anybody reading this is to buy one now, you will not regret it.
