On the one I received the tailpiece to which the strings attach was badly squifted over to one side, not a difficult fix, but not something which occurred in shipping, it was just put together carelessly. I will take some time adjusting things and have a fun little instrument. My advice, don't expect a silk purse for the price of a sow's ear. It is what it is, and is worth the little it costs.
