    Broken

    Within the first week the end post (side without wheels) snapped. I followed all instructions, made the correct measurements, and put it together without issue. When rolling the cover up there was always 2 people guiding the cover onto the reel. My pool was left uncovered for one night and the next morning I found the post had snapped off. Due to the poor use of materials and construction of the individual pieces, I would not recommend purchasing this product. You are definitely getting what you are paying for.

    NOT FOR 21' COVERS

    While the reel is of decent quality for the price, it should not be advertised for a 21' cover. The sectional pole is way too flimsy to be used extended out that far. This reel would work o.k. for pools 16' and under. I have a 20' cover and the pole would flop and bow when trying to reel up the cover to the point I feared it would break. I ended up modifying it by putting a solid oak pole inside of the extendable pole and it works adequately.

    Too Lightweight for a 20x40 pool cover

    I never give a 1 Star review, but this was a waste of money. It can not support a 20x40 12mill pool cover. It literally sags so much it rubs the ground. Might be just fine for a smaller pool cover, but is advertsided for a 20x40.

    Weak junk

    The reel will not extend to 21' as they advertised. I "spoke" to someone whose English was minimal. I made it as wide as possible and it collapsed in the middle as I was rolling up my cover. They then offered a $12 refund. I rebuilt the thing with the sleeves from my old reel and two metal strips near the end when that almost collapsed. Spend more & get a better reel!
