I planted them in a container right away and put the container outside in April in zone 7a. I kept the soil dry, only slightly damp, and in a week they started rooting and then slowly growing shoots/stalks. I had purchased saffron bulbs before from other sellers and they were weak, soft and even ok looking ones never sprouted. I thought I was doing it wrong. After seeing these healthy bulbs, I now know that I was scammed before.
