Synopsis
The Original Art 2020 NomineeOne evening at dusk a wind current carries a lone firefly out over the sea. Glancing down into the water, the insect is mesmerized by the glowing bioluminescence, mistaking it for other fireflies. Seeking company, the firefly plunges into the waves. Luckily, there are human bystanders who can lend a hand. Based on an event witnessed by nature writer and ecologist Rachel Carson (The Sea Around Us and Silent Spring) where a firefly attempts to join its "family" in the ocean, this lyrical story written in verse perfectly illustrates the wonder and delight the natural world offers those who pay close enough attention. Back matter includes science facts about fireflies and bioluminescence, as well as information about Carson's life., The Original Art 2020 Nominee. - _***p (198)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseHonestly a good seller! I purchased a listing without a photo but the title eluded that the CD was a different title than I anticipated. They told me if it wasn’t what they thought because they couldn’t take a photo of it they’d issue a refund and they did. I owned the CD they sent already. I appreciated their honesty and I do want to give them more business so I’m going to buy some more CDs with photos this time! Quick response quick shipping packaged safe and great value. - s***s (260)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseExcellent transaction. Great comms, excellent pricing; item's condition was better than advertised (used CDs). Was given a savings on shipping cost for multiple purchaes shipped together. CDs were well packaged (very important for a fragile jewel case), and shipped in timely manner. Seller made this sale a positive experience. 5 Stars all the way!
- p***r (220)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseI ordered the Jefferson Airplane cd 2400 Fulton Street from estocks-USA. It’s a double cd set. It arrived very quickly and was packaged superbly. However upon opening the package I found that only one of the two cds had been shipped. I reached out to the seller to make them aware of the problem. They quickly responded and took responsibility for the mistake. Moreover they immediately refunded my money no other questions asked. These days it’s rare to find a seller that puts the customer first!!!
