Double heavyweight vinyl LP pressing in gatefold jacket. 2016 release from the veteran British rock 'n' roll band. We all know that the Stones (as with so many '60's UK bands) started out rocking the blues-and this new release, recorded in just three days in London in late 2015, takes us straight back to the band's blues roots. Their first studio album in more than a decade was produced by Jagger/Richards with Don Was and features their touring bassist Darryl Jones and keyboardists Chuck Leavell and Matt Clifford. As it should be, this down 'n' dirty blues album was recorded live in the studio with no overdubs: "Just Your Fool," "Commit a Crime," "Blue and Lonesome," "Everybody Knows About My Good Thing," "I Can't Quit You Baby" (last two featuring guitar by Eric Clapton) and more classics originally done by Little Walter, Otis Rush, Howlin' Wolf, Jimmy Reed, Magic Sam and more.

    Super, Super, SUPER!!!

    A great album - nice on two discs - of covers of lesser known songs by blues greats. The band is in top form. The mix and production seems to be appropriate for the material as well. Jagger's harp and vocals sound like it's 1964 (in a good way) !!! I waited a long time to buy it because the import price (which was the only availability on vinyl until now) was steep. Now the domestic pressing is here and I'm very pleased to have it. Don't miss out if you're a fan of the Stones' early records - you won't be disappointed - and the tracks with Eric Clapton are awesome. He shines playing lead with the ultimate kick-ass backing band!

    Greasy blues excellence

    This is exactly what I thought it would be... Greasy, classic blues cover filtered through the swagger of the Stones. The band sounds tight and like they're having fun. Clean pressing with nice photos. Every song is a classic and I was sad when the record was over.
