Die Figuren erscheinen dadurch als Vorbilder oder Abschreckungsbeispiele, als Identifikationsangebote oder symbolische Reflexionsmedien. So wird ein weiter Horizont des ethischen Gehalts des Johannesevangeliums aufgezeigt.
