After opening the package, the only visible damage was the rubber cable grommet on top of the carb. I do not believe there is any other damage to the carb, but I have not installed it yet and will not know until I do. I am sending this info just for documentation and if some unforeseen damage becomes evident. Carb looks good and new as described. If any problems occur I will let you know.
