Really good for the price, lots of tonal options, VERY light

For the money, this is a really nice bass, especially for a first bass. I think it looks great in person, it's really very light, and it offers tonal options so varied it gets downright confusing (just trying to turn all the volume off was a lengthy exercise in trial and error). The boost knob is a particularly sweet addition for a bass of this price. I also had none of the usual "cheap guitar problems" involving the tuners being garbage or the frets being uneven or poorly dressed -- no sharp fret edges cutting my hand when I slid up or down the neck. In short, good playability, good looks, good comfort, good tones. So, why did I ditch it in just a month? This Ibanez made me enjoy the switch from guitar to bass so much that I quickly upgraded to a Fender Precision. Does the Fender ...

poor factory Q.C makes me QQ

first guitar arrived with a busted knob, returned.Replacement arrived with all pickups loose, and i mean very very loose. the screws were visibly above the pickups.I decided thats about as good as factory quality control would get and tightened everything else myself.ibanez claims these models are tuned and ready to go out of the crate, this is untrue. The guitar itself is a beautiful and lovely sounding instrument when it is properly set up.

  • Good purchase

I got it for $155.00, it was like new, in the original box with manufacturers information and guide, all of the help wrench, never opened. Has a good tone, but will need setup attention. The G string was set real low and the others were at the same height, fret edges aren't super smooth but not bad. I am not a bass player, mostly guitar, so this will work until I get better.

  • You can’t go wrong.

The finish was very nice. The “boost” feature is a great feature. The tone exceeded my expectations Played much better than my previous bass at half the price.
