Smooth trackball with lots of buttons

Replaced my Logitech M570 when the buttons started failing (a bit too soon, so not too happy with that). I quickly got used to it, and the button placement seems logical and functional. I really like the extra buttons you get that can be programmed separately for every application you use. Nice if you use apps that are shortcut heavy, like Blender or Photoshop. I was worried I would get pain with the different track ball placement, but so far so good. I still find that thumb track balls offer better control of the cursor, but so far it doesn't annoy me too much. If it lasts longer than the Logitech, I'll be happy. EDIT: Had to go back to the Logitech M570 due to pain after using it for a longer period. I replaced the switches in the M570, and so far it's holding up.

    worst trackball ever

ball control of cursor is with fingers, very twitchy, cursor is all over screen, really difficult to click on a button since trying to operate the 'trigger' switch jiggles the cursor off the button. Not a gaming control, too much concentration to operate the controller for gaming to be any fun. Finger controlled ball = worst idea ever. I have named it the 'godammit' or the "Mfu*ker" because I am constantly cussing at it for clicking on the wrong button (cursor shifts every time I use my thumb to Lclick) or not registering the click or other weirdness. One star is too good for this item. However I bought it as an experiment, it failed, but it technically fits the advertised functions and it works... it's just hell to use...

  • The wireless Logitech Trackman alternative

Some time back I had a wireless Logitech Trackball that was comfortable and great to use for fast as well as detailed work. Logitech stopped producing them for some strange reason. Trust a Japanese engineer to produce a truly great wireless trackball, with a several bells and whistles that make it suitable for fast as well as detailed and even specialty tracking work. It scrolls fast/slow (Scroll wheel) and rolls (Trackball), has buttons that track pages back, forwards, up-down, has three function buttons that can be preset .... and best of all, it fits the hand like a glove. No more tendon strains! The one drawback for this Gaijin is that he cannot read the Japanese instructions and will have to work out how to set the function buttons by trial and error! The rest is just a great piece ...

  • Microsoft Explorer and Logitech Trackman replacement.

The design is a bit smaller than that of the explorer and trackman but this product delivers. High and low sensitivity can be set by button on trackball base when turned on. This thing doesn't take much movement to get from point a to point b so it takes a little bit of getting use to on high setting. Excellent for gaming with 8 programmable buttons and high sensitivity. Might buy some extras to have around in case they discontinue this one too. Oh yea and a fraction of the price of most gaming mice.

  • Great replacement for the discontinued Microsoft Explorer

I thought I would never see a similar design for the Microsoft Explorer and was ecstatic when I came upon this one as I kept a watch list for this type of ergonomic mouse on Ebay. I purchased this for my personal use, however, would like it to see it sold commercially in the United States so that my company can also purchase for me at work. The ergonomic design is a perfect replacement for people who have used the Microsoft Explorer in the past and would like to remain with this design.
