    • This is a good book for general information

This book has many good quality color pictures. It is not meant as a detailed reference for a particular brand or model, but it does talk about a number of high quality American and foreign built shotguns. It is interesting in that it covers manufacturing methods and has many interesting pictures with great detail as craft people shape gun stocks, perform engraving or do detail checkering. I like to browse through the book. Language is easy to understand and not overly technical.

    • Okay, but there are better books available.

This is a borderline coffee table type book. The content is well presented, however the photos in my copy were very, very dark and hardly worth viewing. I would recommend either " The Double Shotgun, " by Don Zutz, or, especially, " The Shotgun, " by Macdonald Hastings instead. There are many books available for the shotgun enthusiast; choose wisely.
