      Good, but in this price range find something more modern

      These are good speakers. I bought some modern (2015) Infinities, which are somewhat comparable in price and quality. The Bose sound a little muddier, overall. Muddier (slower response in the lower frequencies) in the low range isn't that important, and can be interpreted as warmth. Crispness in the mid-range and highs are better served with modern speakers, with their better, modern materials. Just my personal observation and preference.

      Best living room speaks bar-none.

      A good pair of vintage Bose 301 series Two speaks are about as good as it gets. I finished rebuilding a Dynaco quad Q70 Amp and I now have four Bose 301 and the sound is As good as the best live performance.

      Classic Bose 301's

      These sound great even after I replaced the original 8" woofers (foam surround disintegrated) with Dayton Classic woofers. You can't beat the Bose design and circuitry.
