They then told me the real reason , they said the price jumped up on the item .     Nearby Chatter Turns to Peanuts Teacher Chatter at a Very Low Volumn

    No negatives come to mind. The DD 37dB NRR headset is very good a dampening out nearby office chatter. Could tell the two yapping guys in the next cubicle over were talking, but could not tell what they were saying. Sounded like the teacher in a Peanuts cartoon at a very low volume. Very helpful when I need to concentrate on my detail oriented type of work. Comfortable and effective over my reading glasses over a period of a few hours.

    Great Price, Great Sound Reduction!

    All I had were old ear muff collected over the years> I had no idea they were so bad. These muffs and the 37 db noise reduction are great. I plan to get at least 1 additional pair for other yard machines. I thought the price was quite reasonable. If you get them in stock, I plan to get a pair for my 6 year old grand son too. Thank You!

    Blocks sound - built well

    Bought to use in the office. Blocks distant conversations, muffles close conversations. Good value, sturdy, well designed. I like the way they fold up for storage. They are a bit snug at first but became more comfortable over a few days. (Either they stretched out or I got used to them.) There's only one issue that kept me from giving a 5-star rating. The pads that fit around your ears are stiff and can become uncomfortable if you wear glasses with thick temples like mine. The pressure gave me a headache by the end of the day. Fortunately I had a spare pair with thinner temples which eliminated the problem.

    Protection from Hearing Loss

    These Decibel Defense ear muffs had the highest Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) I could find at 37 decibels. Using them while I cut grass with our ZTR riding mower, brings the noise level down to a safe range and helps me avoid future hearing loss.
