    Exceptional....

    I've used almost every small floral, spade, trowel and relic/treasure hunting specific shovel over the last 30+ years. I've even made a few digging tools myself. This Root Slayer is a very well thought out, high quality, & well built shovel. I see many years of service ahead for small hard jobs around the house, not to mention relic/treasure hunting. It's hard to believe but, I think they have reinvented the shovel. I probably buy a back up like this perennial plus, a larger one for big jobs and give away my collection of shovels accumulated over the years. This shovel will cut & dig!!!

    Makes shrub and small tree removal quicker.

    Makes digging out a bush much easier than using a regular spade shovel. I dug out a Dogwood tree that was about five years old. It was hard work but it took much less time than using a regular shovel. The V-notch on the shovel cut through small and medium size roots. The saw teeth on side sides also cuts through the root system. I would buy the shovel again.

    Now my favorite garden tool.

    After fighting through all kinds of roots for all of my gardening years I finally bought a tool that makes cutting through all but the largest roots so easy. I love this shovel!
