    A Worthy Successor to a Long Line of Canon Printers

    I have been a Canon inkjet printer fan for at least 2 decades now and this one is a worthy successor to my last one, a Pixma MG5522. It is quite compact, much more so than the MG and MX lines were, and significantly quieter than prior generations both during printing and scanning. The TS line preserves the custom of individual ink tanks. Over the years I have always selected models that have individual ink tanks because the cost savings by having these is very significant. Every printer I've ever used that requires a tri-color cartridge runs out of one of the three colors much earlier than the others (which color depends on what you've been printing and it's usually cyan or magenta).     Difficult setup

    After several attempts to set up the wireless printer I was unable to get a connection to the computer. I called in a second person, familiar with printers and computers and they too were unable to set it up. As a stand alone printer it works fine. I have just purchased a Canon hdmi cord and will try that method of setup. Going online for the manual wasn't an easy task either. This is the third Canon printer purchased. The other two were easy to install and work as intended.

    Excellent printer.

    Love this printer, small compact unit that really packs a punch, does it all. Easy set up many features first canon product purchased. I had waited for years to buy a new printer to replace the huge clunky old one I had for 14 years. Really can't say enough good so many great features, if your looking for a nice printer with a small footprint buy this make and model you won't be sorry.

    Mixed Bag

    First off, it does work: prints & scans with good results. Using it with USB cable attached to PC, which was easy to set up using on-line install. But... 1. Its very flimsy - cheap plastic trays/doors/etc. are going to break with any (even minor) abuse. 2. The paper return (to catch output) is a joke: It will hold 1 sheet, but 2-3 sheets slip off and fall to the floor. [Will be building a plywood 'catch' to hold output.] 3. The manual is on-line. Which works WHEN you've got connection... 4. It appears to interfere with other USB devices - enough to sometimes drop keystrokes and/or mouse movements or clicks. This behavior appeared with the installation of the software (and does not relate to the printer being attached or powered on).

    Previous to buying this canon printer i had another brand for years, but the service was outsourced. The inks were also expensive and after having a bad experience, i decided it was time for a change. So far I am very pleased with the overall experience with Canon....
