But I opted for the pricier Sony Zeiss 55mm F1.8, and I don't regret it. The Zeiss produces crisp, clear images that are every bit as good as one of other favorite lenses — the Sony 85mm 1.8. I'm primarily using them for portraits, but they are certainly versatile lenses outside the studio too.
