    Genuine Replacement / Needs Time for Calibration

    Once a calibration period is achieved (about five days in my experience), the battery operates great and delivers on average 7 hours and 40 minutes of power. However, do expect random shutdowns without warning if you do not reset the SMC after installing the new battery. Initially, the MacBook Pro would shutdown unexpectedly whilst asleep on battery, using the battery and powering a device on USB or switching to the discreet GPU; a SMC reset appeared to repair it. The battery arrived charged in a half state and was allowed to discharge completely before charging completely. The OS low battery warning appeared as expected, although it was purposely ignored. Recommended. MacBook Pro 2.66Ghz 8GB, (6,1) Mid-2010. Mac OS X 10.9.5.
