    The sticks break really easily once the package is opened and they really don't smell like anything. I put one down our kitchen drain which has been having smell problems in our apartment building and it really had no effect on the smell. But, everyone's situations are different so I cannot say from my experience that they won't work for other people.

    Works well as a 'clog preventer' when used regularly

    I have used this product for years. Works well to prevent clogs and slow drains (drop a stick down the drain once/month or so). May also reduce odors (not a real issue in my case). Only problem is that many of the sticks arrive broken (marginal packaging). Unfortunately, the broken sticks are too short to sit in the 'trap' to do their job - instead, they just go all the way to the sewer. Tip - feel free to drop the broken sticks in the toilet tank (before bed) - then flush once (to send the tank full of treated water down) before using the toilet in the AM.
