    great phone, problematic IOS

    the good: the iphone SE has the legacy features i've grown accustomed to. a home button with fingerprint sensor. (not everyone loves face ID.) a headphone jack. (not everyone loves airpods.) small enough for one-handed operation. (not everyone loves big phones.) bezels are large enough that it can be clutched without touching the screen. (not everyone loves an all-screen phone.) the iphone SE seems to be the last model before iphones jumped the shark. the bad: version problems. this isn't a problem with the iphone SE per se, it's really a problem with IOS 12 and the way apple manages versions. the iphone SE comes with IOS 11 installed. whereas my "old iphone" is running IOS 12.1.1. it seems you can't restore from an IOS 12 device to an IOS 11 device. so the "quick start" with ...

    Iphone SE still great in 2018

    If you do not watch video on your phone like me the small form factor is great. Good battery life, good reception, very good camera and plenty of speed for emails and web surfing. Iphone SE is still great in 2018.
