About this product

Product Information

I think of him all the time, and he thinks of me not at all . . . This is the story of two brothers - one impassioned and one reserved. One is destined to go down in history and the other to be forgotten. In Philip Pullman's hands, this tale is reborn as one of the most enchanting, heart-breaking and thought-provoking stories of recent years, and questions what we believe and how we have come to believe it.

The two books were nicely packaged and even bubble-wrapped as well! It shipped pretty fast and since it was coming overseas I expected it to take more than two weeks or so to get here, but not six days! The two books came exactly as they were shown in the pictures. As a sucker for Roman history, this was a great and unique find! I managed to a pair of books like this in Abebooks with the mylar too, but someone bought it before I did, so I'm glad I had the chance to buy this. Awesome seller.

  • Alternative Explanations for Puzzling Questions You May Ask Yourself

I would recommend this book as a lovely easy read I found myself turning the pages as if I was reading a thriller it really drew me in. It has great what happened next or who did this or that elements about it. There may be a few people who would not like the subject matter in that case steer clear, but I am sure that there are more than a few of us no matter how religious or otherwise we consider ourselves who have not at some point in time considered that there may be other explanations for some of the events in this storey. It certainly gives food for thought as to possible more earthly explanations for many miracles and as someone who has been brought up in a Christian church but worked in the field of science I have more than once found myself at odds between my work and what is ...
