In fact, they're about the size of a panty liner. They're made of flimsy one-ply paper with a pressed texture to imply volume. I spooned a level teaspoon of water on one and the water completely defeated it. When I tried to wipe up the water with it, it just came apart. A facial tissue would have done a better job.

I was disappointed cups did not have lids but the seller clearly pointed out that fact in description. My only concern was that despite the free shipping the tower of cups were so tightly wrappped they were very difficult to open. Several cups were bent/torn as well after being crushed in its travel. Cups needed to be enclosed in a box but overall this was a positive experience.
