      Fogged Damascus pattern.

      The product is built amazingly and has beautiful craftsmanship. The Damascus pattern is absolutely stunning, at least what I could see. When the blade arrived I opened what appeared to be a unused, brand new knife. But once I got the the knife out and started to examine the knife I noticed that almost the entirety of the blade was fogged to the point where I could barely see the Damascus pattern. I currently have no way of correcting this myself or I would. That is why I took of 2 stars.

      Handsome knife and high quality

      Though this is a Kershaw Knockout EDC knife, it is unique in that the blade is made by Alabama Damascus Steel. The steel they use according to Brad Vice the owner is 5160, 15n20, & nickel 200, 416 layers. When it arrived the knife was sharp "out of the box" but with additional sharpening it is even better and thus far is holding its edge well. Though it is not as comfortable to grip as some, it is a light weight EDC after all. It lacks jimping on the top of the blade for my thumb which I believe would be a worthwhile addition. It is light in weight and sets low in my pocket which I prefer. The lanyard hole is too small in my opinion. The "speedsafe assisted opening" works well by using the "flipper," but the thumbstuds found on the non-Damascus Knockout are not found on this knife, and ...

      Knockout Damascus

      Solid knife Damascus looks great edges holds up well and sharpens nicely. Damascus requires little more maintenance than other blade materials you have to wipe it with oil once and a while. It sure looks nice and is worth the effort. I picked up after market deep carry titanium pocket clip in bronze and it looks way better than factory clip on the knife.
