    Appears it was refurbished by the factory? Not sure, but all I can say is it looked and smelled brand new! Case appeared brand new too. Not a single scratch or mark on either the case or the drill. Works great. My old Harbor Freight one disappeared (ie, stolen). My SDS Plus didn't have enough ass for a current project so I got this. So far, extremely pleased!

    A little dirty, but works like new.

    Item came with a bit of dirt on it and the case, which I was a bit surprised by. As far as performance, I have used it to help dig out 100' trench in rocky dense clay soul and it has worked like a champ.
