Speed Zone sends Wii gamers careening through loops and hairpin turns at tremendous speeds as they navigate 30 undulating tracks set on colorful planets, space stations, and asteroids. Futuristic racing fans can take on each course in "Solo" mode, beating level targets to unlock new tracks, searching for secret wrenches to earn bonus rewards, and hitting boost pads to accelerate toward the Speed Zone. There are six basic vehicle models from which to choose, but players can purchase engine upgrades and other modifications to increase the number of potential car variations to more than 160. Multiplayer enthusiasts can grab four Wii Remotes and Nunchuks to take on up to seven friends and AI competitors in the speed-driven "Race" mode or the combat-heavy "Battle" mode.
