      Works great

      It really does work great, but you gotta read the manual or at least figure out set ups, to make it easy on yourself. The vhs part seems to go out before the dvd, so I don't use the vhs too often.

      Great so far!

      I am very un-techy and I had to look the manual up online, but so far it plays both VHS tapes and DVD discs great. I have yet to tackle recording or dubbing but it does include a toll free phone number if I get stuck.

      replacing the old with newer

      Good machine.

      Good machine, it really is in working order! I've transferred about 25 VHS -> DVD now and no problems. ... It is a bit tricky to figure out how to use it properly; I had to find and watch a YouTube video.
