Limited vinyl LP repressing in gatefold jacket. Thriller is the sixth solo studio album by Michael Jackson. It was released by Epic Records on November 30, 1982, as the follow-up to Jackson's critically and commercially successful 1979 album Off The Wall. Thriller explores similar genres to those of Off The Wall, including pop, post-disco, rock and funk. Recording sessions took place on April to November 1982 at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles with a production budget of $750, 000, assisted by producer Quincy Jones. Seven singles were released from the album, all of which reached the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. In just over a year, Thriller became-and currently remains-the best-selling album of all time, with estimated sales of 65 million copies worldwide. It has become the first album ever to be certified 32 times multi-platinum for U.S. sales, marking more than 32 million sales shipped. The album won a record-breaking eight Grammy Awards in 1984, including for Album of the Year.

    Steal of an item for $3. I bought this because my copy of Thriller didn't have a jacket. I was going to just toss the record and use the cover but it turns out this copy, according to its run outs, was a Pitman press. Not particularly rare but I should be able to easily make my money back and a profit on just the album. Speaking of which it ran almost perfectly. It's really noisy and didnt skip until the last minute of the last track on side B where she decided to skate to the finish.

    Just buy it. You won't be disappointed.

    It was factory sealed and looked just like the one my parents bought me when I was 13. My 14 year old granddaughter loves this album. She has a white hat like Michael Jackson and is always twirling around and yelling wahoo! Lol Michael Jackson was such a good entertainer. The world misses him deeply.

    180 gram sounds awesome.

    No one needs to be told what a landmark and extraordinary album this is. But having this on the 180 gram pressing sounds amazing. A great buy as this particular version is getting harder to find.

    ive recently become a huge fan of MJ and vinyls, i couldn’t resist buying this, anf i’m glad i didn’t resist! sounds good, the packaging was good except there a little crinkle in the cover, noting bad though! overall i’m very happy with this purchase
