      Great Drive at a Great Price

      This compact $50 drive installed easily and has plenty of storage space for most folks. We'll see how long it lasts as the Transcend 1T drive it replaced was just over 3 years old. I saw data transfer speeds of 899m/s when transferring from my SSD internal drive to it using a USB 3.0 port. Pretty impressive and the fastest I have seen when transferring data. A real good deal and so far a real good drive.

      Very Portable Storage

      This external drive is quite small and powerful. It is about the size of a laptop hard drive. This small size makes it easier to carry around in a backpack or pants pocket. The best feature that I like about this device is that it does not have an external power source. It runs similar to a small pocket flash drive. That feature makes it easy to plug and play and find files fast!

      Stands up to the Competition

      Having owned several of these 1TB models for many years, WD has gained my customer loyalty in styling, affordability, and ruggedness. I can say that because I ventured into other "off brands" that have failed after about one year. I had a 1TB Toshiba drive reach failure after 1 year, but my eldest WD 1TB is about four years old now, and still the "master" drive of all the cloned backups. I'm thankful that the other device wasn't the "master copy". At $45 on a "good day", excellent value for the price. 2017-10-11 PMV

      I love new WD exterior hard drive. Glad I chose this one.

      I am very impressed with my WD storage unit. It's much smaller than the 2 exterior drives that I was using. They were about 9 times the size of the WD. The unit has 2T storage which is abut 1,000 times more than what my other units had. I just feel much safer using an exterior hard drive on my desk than using the cloud. The hackers today are able to hack most anything,.
