      Saved the cooler

      I was ready to throw the cooler away, but as a random thought wondered if replacement hinges were available. These were an exact match for the cooler and only took a phillips screw driver and 2 minutes to make the cooler useable again. They even included new screws in case yours were looking bad, which wasn't necessary for me. I think that many people won't even think that you can get repair parts for a cooler being so many things are just expected to be thrown out when they start breaking.

      Not really a hinge.

      The item is not a hinge, but a thick piece of plastic with a groove cut at the place where it is to bend. The cooler his not been subjected to use yet, but the hinge appears to be doomed to failure. To be fair, only time will tell the truth. It was easy to install.

      Received diifferent hinges than I ordered

      The hinges I was sent were not the same as the picture of the ones I ordered. I ordered what appeared to be the original type of hinges that I was replacing. The originals were heavy duty, but the ones I was sent were thin and looks like they will not last, but they do work, so I went with them.

      Looks good, but needs improved endurance.

      It is an exact replacement for fit and looks but, the original (1 of 2) lasted only several months. Igloo needs a better quality hinge and their lid clasp as well.

      Igloo replacement hinges

      The replacement hinges fit exactly where the original hinges we’re located. The new hinge also has a locating bump where the screws go that helps to hold the hinge in position while inserting the screws. They come with new stainless steel plastics screws for a perfect fit and a solid hold.
