About this product
Product Information
The Liverpool Pals were the first of the neighborhood-based units to be raised by the British for service in World War I, after the heavy losses in the regular army. Casualties after nearly two years of war eventually caused the units to be withdrawn in early 1918, but the 17th Battalion had the unique experience of being sent to Russia for operations against the Bolsheviks which lasted well into 1919.

I highly recommend the seller.Geographers' Atlas Of Greater London c1966. H/B Maps. Index To Streets (#405399861449)
- a***e (57)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchasePrompt delivery. The book was as shown in the seller's photos. I wanted a particular edition of this book so I appreciated the seller providing photos of the actual copy being sold. So I chose this seller and avoided another seller who posted a stock picture and said that it was for "illustrative purposes only" and that I might not receive that edition.
