As others have pointed out, the designs painted on the hilt are poorly done and likely to rub off if handled. The pommel and guard have what I believe to be glue residue around them and there is some rust or something on the blade itself. Fortunately I want it as just a decorative piece, but I will have to do some cleaning up of it myself.
