    Campy but entertaining

    This 1980 low budget murder drama is entertaining if not well produced. Al Pacino and Paul Sorvino do commendable work. This film is definitely low budget. I'm sure Pacino's salary (even in 1980) was the majority of it. Because of its inadequate funding, the production values are limited. It has rather poor filming quality and poor editing. But, I enjoyed it. It is sort of a campy classic. It was not meant to be anything but a serious effort at a controversial drama. But, its limited budget brings it into the realm of camp. My copy came complete with Korean subtitles (which added to its campiness). If you don't spend a lot on a copy, I think it's worth watching. A big plus is you get to see Pacino's hairy, sexy butt.

    If ever there was a DVD in need of becoming a blu-ray

    As far as DVDs go, this one is actually not bad. It even comes with 2.0 and 5.1 audio options. As for picture quality, it could be better, but not horrible either. And you can't beat the price. Still, where is the Blu-ray version ?
