Unlike my Samurai katanas, this looks like an antique from WWII, which is why it's a great addition to my collection. In order to look real, a gunto must be understated and not fancy - and this replica fits the bill. It's heavy but not too heavy and feels great in my hands. I love the wooden saya. Most Guntos had metal sayas, which degraded their appearance IMO.

I did contact the seller about the shipping damage (again, aware it is not their fault and called this out) and their response was very quick and helpful.
