      Great product, Nikon quality, simple and easy to use remote release.

      Simple and easy to use remote cable release. Easily attaches. The connection has threads for it to be screwed in so it doesn't get inadvertently yanked out if the cable gets pulled. It is easy to connect, just make sure you line it up right. It has worked great for portrait photography. It would be ideal for night shots (astro photography) as well. Cable length is about right, it easily hangs on the tripod but won't reach the floor if your shooting mid height or above. It is light and doesn't add a lot of weight to the camera bag. Size is about right too, not too small not too big, fits nicely in the palm, buttons big enough to easily hit without hunting for it. Pricing is higher than many other releases on the market, but it is Nikon. I don't know that i'd pay full retail for ...

      Nikon shutter release cord

      It’s almost always better to buy brand name accessories and this Nikon product is quite good. The price I paid wasn’t much more expensive than a copy non brand one.. Seems to work just fine both for single shot or B(time exposure)

      Solid product

      Works fine. Had to wait a bit but getting a sturdy remote was worth it. Much more reliable than the wireless remotes when shooting from a tripod. Allows you to step back from the camera and watch the scene or keep your nose on the viewfinder without fumbling with a uni-directional wireless remote.

      I do some night photography and this is just what I needed to avoid camera shake. I bought 3. It works perfectly with my Nikon d500 and locks into place securely.

      Seems just as good as the genuine article!

      Genuine Nikon parts are often the best way to go but some items, like the shutter release, as cheaper when you go the way of thrid-party options. This shutter relase works great. I've used it in temperature extremes - desert to Antarctica - and it performed well. It's easy to bump the lock and end-up firing off more shots than needed. Just check the lock position.
