Both the blade and wooden handle are sturdy and strong. The blade itself has zero slop or play. Be assured that the blade will stay in place when used because of its robust knee slip joint system, which makes the blade hard to open/close. That's a good thing. No liner lock necessary. The wooden handle is soft to the touch and is well-contoured to fit the hand.
