    I received the item today. While the outer packaging was good, the inner box was a simple pizza box with the ebay sticker on it. There was padding inside the box. Despite this, I was concerned about potential damage such as that might occur when someone sat on top of it (by mistake hopefully). Thankfully, my concerns were gone upon unboxing the item. There was no visible damage marks and the board was exactly as described. It was in pristine condition. Thank you so much seller.

    Intel Core i5 3570s - A few generations old, but more than capable even today

    I'm completely happy with my purchase. The Intel i5 3570S processor allowed me to upgrade from an Intel Dual-Core Pentium G2030T to a much more powerful quad core. Its reasonably low TDP (Thermal Design Power) of 65 watts is a little more than the 35 watts of the Pentium it replaced, but still low enough that it runs just fine in my system. Given the low cost of this CPU I could not be happier with the upgrade. I would suggest this an an upgrade to a processor like the one I replaced for anybody who is looking to boost the performance of an older PC. The i5 3570S is capable of being at the heart of a budget gaming rig, especially where energy savings is also a factor, and it's easily the fastest CPU I have been able to find for the LGA1155 socket at anywhere near the same price point ...

    I'd recommend if building a used system

    Good to buy a used 3570s for a budget build. I also bought the 3570s used because it almost guarantees that the cpu hasn't been abused. You can't overclock an "S" cpu, unlike the 3570k of course. To me this is an advantage when buying used, not only that the "S" models are a lot cheaper and consume less power. You don't want to buy some cpu that has been overclocked to 5.0ghz 24/7 lol. As far as performance goes, the 3570s is a really nice quad core cpu...not even worth going up to the 3770 and it's going to perform about as good as any new 2016 gen cpu just fine for most regular tasks, whether it be office work, or even gaming. I paired this with a used GTX970 for $200. This cpu only cost me $120. A new asus h61 itx motherboard I got for $50....pretty sure my whole system was less than ...

    3rd Gen i5 is cheap, still good, can play games well, do basic/general computing and are perfect for home/office use. Price/Performance ratio is good!

    3rd Gen Core i5 CPUs are good, they have best price/performance ratio if you want to build good + cheap PC for 1080P gaming or basic rendering, or home/office work. Pros: These CPUs are really cheap and another good thing is that they do work good ! You can play games, do some basic rendering, image work and some multitasking without any problems. I can say that i5 3570 (as other 3rd Gen i5s) is the best CPU today for most people, home use, basic use, office work and general computing. Price to performance ratio is very good for 3rd Gen i5 CPUs. Cons: Well, they are 7 years old chips so if you have some serious work, I recommend to buy new tech and leave this CPU to other people who only need basic computing. Also I do not recommend them if you are using Hi-Res monitors like 2K,4K,8K and ...

    Great upgrade for old sandy - ivy bridge boards

    I had a mame machine that I turned into my son's gaming pc. It had an i3-2130 in it for $60 - roughly what these go for on ebay. I was able to upgrade to something that benched 50% faster. It is well worth the upgrade if you are coming off an i3 2nd or 3rd gen. Just make sure your board has the latest bios update and you should be good to go.
