Ji-eun (Eun-joo Lee) is a spoiled rich girl who marries a poor boy, Sae-hoon (Seo-jin Lee), only to have the marriage fall apart due to financial hardship and her own family's disapproval. While a bitter Sae-hoon moves to America and returns 10 years later as a successful businessman, the sudden death of Ji-eun's wealthy father plunges her into a life of poverty marked by menial cleaning jobs. Eventually, the former lovers meet again to confront not only their ironic reversals of fortune but the tragic specter of their thwarted love. Amply displaying the strong acting, gripping plot, and well-drawn characters for which K-dramas have become known, the romantic mini-series is presented in its entirety with this collection of 26 episodes.
