A deep basin was preferred to reduce splash potential and a sizeable pitcher for less frequent trips to keep it filled; this has both. Plus, they're very sturdy and hefty so they won't easily get knocked over. Love the stoneware look.

I have purchased from Lehman's in the past and will continue to do so in the future. A++++
