    They pay for them selfs

    I go to Florida every year and I have roof tapes that I run all winter . So I found these at Home Depot and was not sure about them at first. My electric was very high and my wife let me know it . I told her it is the roof tapes running 24/7 as we are gone for 16 weeks at a time. I installed a timer in line with these and they only go on if it is clod enought and the timer will go on for 12 hours but again only if it is cold enought for the roof tapes to run . Save a ton of money with these so if you are thinking about these do it even if you are home they will save you money and pay for them self. Jerry in New Hampshire

    Willing to give another one a try.

    I have a couple of these, the older one worked good for a while but now it has to be much colder for it to come on like 30 degrees. I have tested this new one and right now it comes on at the temp stated 37 or 38 which is good. I hope it just works good longer than the other one I have it worked good for one season. I know that all of them will not work alike or perfect for what I paid for them, but the quality could be better.
