    Okay this was my first Sears RoadTalker and my introduction to them. It came just as described packaged very tightly and neatly. The shipping cost was about average with others that I’ve bought so the value is in the eyes of the collectors. I’ll see if I can get it working and swinging some wattage and if it doesn’t okay no problem but if it does I’ll decide whether to keep it or pass it on to someone else.     Great Personal Weather Station, easy to set up and use.

    This isn't my first personal weather station but is the best with the most features. Easy to set up and calibrate with lots of features for full weather coverage. I love it.

    Acu-Rite ..limited

    My background is in computer electronics ... I've also been a ham radio operator for half a century, so I know about electronics. First, I found the Acu-Rite to be a good bargain for price. I liked the simplicity of mounting all the sensors in one package, though I worry the little photo-cell powered fan might not do it's job in the summer, everything seems to report okay. The problem is that the display is highly susceptible to Radio Frequency (about 4 MHz) from nearby antennas. Even worse, the display seems to lock up and I cannot access the Weather Select feature without removing all power and starting again from scratch ... of course, this erases rain collection history and requires resetting the clock and date ... ie. .... start over again. Nice though it is, the engineers ...

    Accurite weather station

    Very nice working unit, accuracy is spot on, good battery life , only drawback is outdoor sensor could be more durable. Parts become brittle and prone to breakage. Anemometer and weather vane bearings prone to fail. However I got 5 years service from first one then replaced with same unit. Will buy another when replacement needed.

    Acurite Professional Weather Station model 01015

    This is to replace an older model Acurite weather station that I have had for close to 10 years. The old outside unit stopped working. The old model was total battery powered. The new outside unit is still battery powered backed up by a small solar cell to help maintain batteries. The new inside unit uses a wall adapter as the main power source with a battery back up for power failures. All batteries are AA that last longer than AAA. If you're looking for a weather station, this is the one. It will give you more information than you'll ever need at a very good price.
