The items were exactly as described, wrapped carefully in a plastic shoebox-like tote, which was then wrapped with thick paper. Once unwrapped, the plastic box itself was broken on the side (small hole) and I was hesitant to see how the items held up inside, but they were in fine condition. There was a small beaded bracelet inside with a note that it was a free gift. That was a lovely gesture!
