    A solid universal remote if your devices are basic

    I bought this remote to control a Sony HD TV and a mid 90s Yamaha stereo preamp. I had this remote before and knew it was one of the few that could control my Yamaha preamp, so when I misplaced it I bought another one. The backlit buttons are a big plus to using it in the dark. It's only downsides are that there is no decimal key so you can't direct tune a digital TV with it, (but you can use the channel up/down buttons) and the feature set is fairly basic so you won't have control over some of the more advanced features of newer devices. Otherwise, it's cheap, it's solid, and it works well.
