    this is amazing and extremely great quality, fantastic condition and well packaged.As for the value that was amazing and a heck of a lot cheaper then any local stores it was unbelievable i saved $60 just by going on here to buy the product i refuse to go to any local pet store now to buy this when i can save a great amount of money doing it this way.     Good value and it works

    Read the instructions supplied and you can't go wrong. For five water tests, it's good value for money. Did all five tests in around 10 minutes. Suggest you store the 2 spoons for the Nitrate tests separately in two of the test tubes so they don't become contaminated. You can then use the remaining 2 tubes to conduct the five tests. Just rinse them between each test.

    Inferior to other kits

    This testing kit is a lot more complex than other test kits such as the API brand one. For example, testing nitrate involves using 4 different reagents. What's worse, the instructions highlight that the ingredients of the reagents are classified as hazardous waste, toxic to aquatic life, and may even cause cancer. If I had been aware of this prior to ordering, I would not have purchased this product. Most testing kits do have a risk of chemical burns etc. but I have never heard of cancer before. I would definitely suggest spending the extra $20 to get a slightly safer product.

    Let down by poor nitrate test .

    The Nitrate test is a pain and did not work for me . API test is 2 liquid bottles . This kit has 2 powders and a liquid for Nitrate . One of the powder reagents has to be dissolved , but after shaking for 10mins it was still undissolved . Nitrate is IMHO the most important test which makes this kit a not recommended , There is a reason the API kit costs almost twice as much .
