Origin Story

Front - hood viewThe Polaris Government and Defense division can be traced back to the early 2000s when the company realized there were many potential uses for its off-road vehicles. With demand increasing for lightweight, mobile, and versatile off-road vehicles to support military operations, Polaris formed the Defense division in 2005.

One of the division’s earliest successes was the development of the MV700 ATV, a beefed-up military-spec version of the Sportsman 700 built for special operations and light infantry forces. It is capable of helicopter air drops and aircraft transport.

Through the years, Polaris Government and Defense continued to expand its off-road product offerings to include a variety of tactical vehicles built to military specifications, including the MRZR UTV series. Thanks to its off-road lineage and proven capabilities, it has become a staple with the US military and allied forces worldwide.

For riders with more recreational pursuits in mind, Polaris Defense vehicles like the 2014 MRZR 4 900 for sale on eBay provide a high degree of toughness, reliability, and payload capacity.

Bring the Squad

The MRZR 4 is Polaris’s mil-spec four-seater UTV. It adds storage capacity, increased payload, and a host of configuration options over its two-seater counterpart, the MRZR 2. Powered by an 875 cc Polaris Prostar engine, the MRZR 4 produces 88 horsepower. It can haul four people and cargo comfortably through sand, mud, rocks, and other power-sapping terrain.

The Prostar engine sends power to the Polaris On-Demand True AWD/2WD system. This engages all four wheels for more traction when needed and then seamlessly switches back to two-wheel drive.

2014 Polaris MRZR UTV - rear highThe MRZR 4’s modular design allows users to customize the machine’s setup with military-specific Polaris accessories and add-on equipment, such as gun mounts and ammo bins. Another cool feature is the MRZR’s toolless, collapsible roll cage. Users can quickly fold the cage forward for a lower 60-inch overall vehicle height for more accessible transportation.

The rear cargo bed/box holds up to 500 pounds, with the collapsible tailgate-style deck adding more length to the bed when needed. Add to that standard front and rear bumpers, a full roll cage, running boards, and a Polaris UTV skid plate to protect the underside from abuse.

This unit runs on regular gasoline instead of the diesel fuel used in later models. This makes the MRZR 4 even more user-friendly for off-road adventurers.

The seller says the model runs and drives well. They have performed preventative maintenance, including new fluids, battery, and primary clutch. With an attractive tan colorway and only 2,032 miles on the odometer, this 2014 MRZR 4 is ready for its next mission.
