The 2026 ROCK EV Mini Pickup currently for sale on eBay has a deeply discounted Buy-It-Now price of just $9,995. That’s $4,600 off the regular MSRP, despite the fact that it’s brand new, with just two miles on the odometer. It is outfitted with custom wheels and aggressive tires.

Local Micromobility

Global EV Connect (GEVC), founded in 2016, manufactures and distributes the ROCK Pickup in the US. The company operates in the United States, Europe, and China and focuses on micro-mobility solutions such as low-speed golf carts, scooters, and miniature vehicles.

Many of GEVC’s electric vehicles are designed for local trips when a full-size car is unnecessary. Downsizing the vehicle reduces emissions and congestion. The four-door ROCK Mini Pickup offers seating for four plus a cargo bed for light hauling, making it more utilitarian than golf carts and some other low-speed EVs.

“Mini” is the operative word here. It’s almost three feet shorter overall than a double-cab Toyota Tacoma and a foot and a half shorter than a Ford Maverick. It’s about a foot narrower overall and in track width (tire to tire) than either of those trucks. The ROCK EV’s bed is about the same size as the Maverick’s, but half a foot shorter than the Toyota’s short bed. Its 1,500-pound payload capacity lines up with both the Ford and Toyota trucks.

Low-Speed EV

The seller says the ROCK EV Mini Pickup has the equipment necessary for on-road use:

  • Headlights
  • Tail lights
  • Turn signals
  • Windshield wipers
  • Seat belts

The truck on eBay also has four-wheel disc brakes, power windows, a backup camera, sunroof, heater, and air conditioning.

As a low-speed vehicle (LSV), its speed is limited per federal regulations to no more than 25 mph. In many states, LSVs are only legally allowed on roads where the speed limit does not exceed 35 mph. Check local laws before considering the purchase of a LSV.

Household Charging

The ROCK EV Mini-Pickup is powered by a 14.4 kW motor fed by a 72-volt 150Ah lithium battery pack. The truck includes a 15-amp charger that plugs into a standard, 110-volt household outlet. Plug it in at the end of the day and, in most cases, the battery will be topped up and ready to go by morning.

With just 14.4 kW, the ROCK won’t set any speed records. Fortunately the truck weighs just 950 pounds, so there’s not a lot of mass to move—unless you and three buddies are hauling a lot of gear. Payload will also affect the ROCK’s estimated 80 miles of range.

Aiding the ROCK’s utility is a two-speed transmission. The driver selects High or Low gear manually when the truck is stopped.

Right Choice?

A buyer who needs the towing and hauling capacity of a “real” pickup, like a Toyota Tacoma or even the unibody Ford Maverick, likely won’t consider the ROCK EV Mini Pickup. But it could be the right choice for a number of use cases. Light-duty hauling on a farm or a park, for example, or grounds keeping at a planned community. Or view it as a different take on the custom golf cart. It looks rugged with its military-style paint job and down bars in the bed.

For the right buyer, a truck like this is about convenience and ease of use. It’s quiet, efficient, and its interior amenities ease the tedium of mundane chores. And don’t forget this truck’s serious discount.
