Ecstatic is probably putting is mildly, but wildly enthusiastic, giddy, and immensely appreciative are closer to how our latest eBay Garage sweepstakes winner, Kim Atkins, felt after having a shiny new Tesla Model S delivered to her doorstep. Kim has always been a fan of Tesla and Elon Musk. Now she has one more reason to worship the upstart car company and its entrepreneurial leader.
An eBay user since 2005, Kim recently added the family van to the eBay Garage for the purpose of finding parts. Unknown to her, Kim was automatically entered into the sweepstakes during the promotion period and became eligible to win a new Tesla. Which is why Kim was skeptical after receiving an email notifying her she was a potential winner. A few emails and phone calls later, skepticism was replaced with avid anticipation as Kim eagerly awaited for her Model S to be built.
Now that she has the keys, don’t be surprised if you see Kim cruising the roads north of Dallas. The car may be EV-quiet, but the windows will be down, the music blasting, and Kim will be singing along with her favorite songs.
